I am pretty sure the hardest task a photographer will ever have to go through, is taking portraits of their OWN kids. My girls aren’t too bad, but give me limited time to photograph them (maybe 7-10mins if I’m lucky) and my son… yeah.. forget about it!
So, as you can see, I am lucky to have gotten what I did here below.
And then onto the girls….
The little girl I photographed today was the sweetest little girl I’ve ever met. I could have taken her home with me. She was one of my fresh faces contest winners, and I couldn’t be happier to have her win. She stole my heart, for sure. I’m sure mom was thinking “What the heck, she just pushed my daughter to the ground”. Haha! I was chasing the poor girl and tickling her and she fell on her face. Bad photographer! I felt horrible. Surprised the little girl didn’t run from me and refuse to be near me after that. But, she was a tough girl and even gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek when I left. ADORABLE.
As summer ends and fall approaches, I took some time to get a few pictures of my kids. I have actually been really bad about taking their pictures. I have a lot of snapshots and while that is a very good way to be, it’s not getting my kids used to being in front of the camera anymore. I already have issues with Addison wanting to model for me and Tristan… haha! Getting him is near impossible.
My youngest daughter will be 4 in a couple weeks. These are not her 4 year photos but she’s warming up a little bit more when taking portraits with me. She’s always given me some trouble with cooperating, so I’m thrilled that she’s getting a little better with it and not putting up too much of a fight. I’ll be doing 4 and 6yr pictures for both girls some time soon. But, here’s a warm up session with Addison with my newest lens for my Nikon.
I am officially in Florida and am now accepting client inquiries and booking sessions for Sarasota and the surrounding areas. Please check out my website and use the contact form if you wish to book a session! I look forward to meeting new clients! Please take notice that now that I have moved to Florida, I will be doing on location sessions only. Newborn sessions will be done at the clients home. Ofcourse, if you have any questions, you can always email me and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Now, my children and I have been loving Florida. They are having an awesome time and we can see the beautiful sunset in our backyard every evening. It makes for some gorgeous photos too! Here’s a recent one of my oldest posing and being the little diva that she is.
