For the end of 2011, I decided to get one last portrait of my kids before the New Year of 2012 began. I was actually pleasantly surprised to get a picture of Tristan LOOKING and SMILING! Very rare you guys! Haha!

Just wanted to share my own Christmas portraits of the kids – just a few of them anyways

I am pretty sure the hardest task a photographer will ever have to go through, is taking portraits of their OWN kids. My girls aren’t too bad, but give me limited time to photograph them (maybe 7-10mins if I’m lucky) and my son… yeah.. forget about it!

If you remember, I held a fresh faces contest a few months back for my “Welcome” in Florida. Today, I photographed my first winner (I had 3). He was such a cutie. I absolutely love his red hair. Usually, this age, I’m lucky to get 30 mins out of them, but this little guy lasted an hour! He was amazing.

Due to illnesses with both my children and theirs, and the holidays, after many months of already having this session booked and rescheduling, we finally were able to get this little girls portraits done. She was such a sweet little girl. Shy at first but she eventually warmed up to me. She even sat with me for a little while. I love when my little clients warm up to me, it makes me love my job so much!

Here’s little T! I hope mom and dad and even the grandparents are pleased with the sneak peak.

This little girl is such a sweetie! This little girl reminded me why I love my job so much. She came over and gave me hugs. It was so sweet. This is a returning client of mine and I’m going to be so sad to not be able to photograph her anymore after my move.

I’m excited to see what this year holds for me and my business. I can’t wait to see all of my repeat clients and to meet new clients throughout the year!

And today, I had my first session of 2011. It was of a sweet little girl who just turned One year old today! Happy Birthday Little M! Thanks S for giving me the opportunity to photograph your daughter. I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

Spring is right around the corner! I’m so excited. I am more than ready for warm weather and the next coming sessions I have coming up. The snow and cold weather has really taken a toll on me, but I’m more than ready to get back to work. Remember, I most likely will not be available from mid-June to the end of July so if you wish to book a session, contact me as soon as possible so we can set up a session. Weekends are filling up quick for the spring and beginning of summer.

Today, I had a holiday photo session with these two kids, along with a cake smash for the littlest one who just recently turned a year old. That lil boy was in LOVE with those cookies and cake!

Today, I took Addison outside to try to get some portraits of her. She NEVER lets me get anything of her outside, she much prefers my studio, but since my studio is in the process of being moved into another room in the house, my studio equipment is not available for me today. So, I bribed her with some smarties and took her outside. I think she’s got a little bit of a cold coming on so she isn’t feeling 100% but I was pleased with what I got considering getting any of her outside is a task in itself. It’s chilly outside today, so we are in long-sleeves and sweaters.
