The Photographer
My name is Heather and I was born and raised in Southern Maryland. I am a mother to two daughters, ages 3 and 1!
My daughters are the reason I fell in love with photography and chose it as a career. I have always had a love for
photography but my passion for photography grew once I started capturing the special moments in my daughters' lives.
I strive to give my clients the exact same thing... to capture those wonderful moments!
I am a studio photographer, who does work within my home. I also do on location during the warmer months in locations
throughout Southern Maryland.
My style
I would describe my style as being fun, modern, simple, relaxed and naturalistic. I take the time needed to capture those
wonderful moments. I feel that my clients need to be comfortable to be able to get those perfect images, therefore, I
spend a lot of time talking and interacting with the client before and during a session. It makes for wonderful, relaxed,
fun portraits. I like both posed and candid portraiture, and try to provide both during a single session. With my newborn
and small infants, I like to keep things simple and capture the perfect beauty of a baby. With toddlers and small children,
I often use props to keep things interesting and to keep the toddler or small childs attention. I often make jokes or
playfully interact with the child to get natural smiles and giggles, and to capture your childs personality as they truly
are. I have found my love within child photography!
